Bukit Peninsula surfing

Bukit Peninsula

Impossibles is a long, fast left-hand reef break on the Bukit Peninsula that delivers some of the longest rideable waves in Bali, connecting multiple sections from Padang Padang all the way to Bingin when the swell is right. The wave breaks in 2-3 distinct sections — the top and middle deliver fast, hollow walls that Impossibles is famous for, while the end section opens up for carving turns. It needs a solid southwest swell to link up, with the sweet spot around 5-8 feet, and works best at low to mid tide with east-southeast offshore winds. The reef is shallow and unforgiving, with sea urchins adding to the hazard list, making this strictly an advanced wave. Access is via a steep cliff path with ropes and ladders. The dry season from May to October brings the most consistent swells and offshore winds.
