Exclusive resort-access left — uncrowded Maldivian perfection

Pasta Point is the Maldives' most exclusive surf break — a pristine left-hander accessible only to guests of Cinnamon Dhonveli resort, which limits the lineup to a handful of surfers at any time. The wave has three distinct sections offering 100+ yard rides: a steep takeoff zone, the bowling Macaroni section for turns, and the shallow fast end section called Lockjaws. It breaks consistently at 4-6ft over a coral reef shelf with south to southwest swells, and even at 1-2ft the wave maintains perfect form. Offshore winds blow from the north-northwest. The southwest monsoon season from April through October brings the most consistent swells, with peak months being May through August. The controlled crowd makes it a dream setup, though the resort access requirement means planning ahead.
