Old Man's

Los Cabos, Mexico

BeginnerIntermediateAdvanced

Perfect for beginners chasing mellow waves and crystal water.

Old Man's, officially Playa Acapulquito, is a mellow right-hand point break in San Jose del Cabo that delivers long, rolling waves ideal for longboarding and learning. The break sits over a sandy reef bottom that keeps conditions consistent, with south swells and north-northwest offshore winds producing the best surf. Waves are typically waist to chest high, mushy and easy to read, making it one of Los Cabos' most popular beginner and intermediate spots. Located directly in front of the Cabo Surf Hotel, the beach offers easy access, board rentals, and the Mike Doyle Surf School. Summer tends to bring bigger swells than winter, and the lineup is welcoming but can get crowded with surf school students during peak season.
