Powerful and reliable Jersey shore jetty break.

Manasquan Inlet is one of New Jersey's premier surf spots, often compared to Sebastian Inlet in Florida for its jetty-assisted wave quality. Waves bounce off the rock jetty and converge into a steep, hollow right wedge over a sand-and-rock bottom, producing lengthy barreling rides that can handle faces up to 20 feet on solid SE swells. The deep-water approach, large jetty, and well-formed sandbars combine to create two fast, bowl-shaped peaks with occasional quality lefts, working best on mid-rising tides with westerly offshore winds. Summer through autumn delivers the most consistent clean conditions, though winter nor'easters can produce exceptional sessions. The spot draws heavy crowds — weekday winter sessions offer the best chance at uncrowded waves. Strong currents near the jetty rocks are the main hazard, and respect for the local lineup is expected.
