Taghazout, Morocco
Tamri is one of Morocco's best beach breaks, located about 50 kilometres north of Agadir and roughly 45 minutes south of the popular surf hub of Taghazout. The sandy seabed produces multiple A-frame peaks with room for everyone, working from low to high tide, with the best shape on low-to-mid tide and morning offshore winds. A notable left-hander peels off the sandbank in front of the cliffs — one of the few quality lefts in this part of Morocco. Tamri is a reliable swell magnet that picks up surf even when other Taghazout-area breaks are too small, making it a consistent option year-round, though winter from November to March delivers the biggest and most powerful swells. The wave suits all levels: beginners find mellow whitewater near shore, intermediates enjoy fast rides on mid-sized days, and experienced surfers can score powerful winter sessions. Be mindful of the strong lateral drift that can carry you across the beach.
