July brings powerful South swells to the Pacific, making Indonesia and Central America excellent, while Norway's Lofoten Islands offer one of the world's most unique surf experiences.
July is peak season for the Southern Hemisphere swell window. Indonesia, particularly Bali's Bukit Peninsula, is at its most consistent and powerful. Central America and Mexico are still on fire. Further north, Norway's Lofoten Islands see their best summer surf under near-endless daylight, making July the most accessible entry point for cold-water surfing in the Arctic. Europe's Atlantic coast is quieter but worth checking for cleaner, smaller surf.
